Distracted by all the shiny law tech options?

You know that the old ways simply won’t cut it any more but all your energy goes into doing the work, day to day. You know the right technology is important and you have an uneasy feeling that there are better, smarter ways to work out there but you just don’t have time to watch 1,000 videos to learn about all the new tools. Your IT consultant keeps the network running but doesn’t aways understand what lawyers need. You want someone who knows what works in the legal space and is up to date with the latest technology to take a look at your current tech set up, assess what is working, what could be better and what you should be planning to upgrade.

Get fresh eyes

An on-site assessment of the way your team is working to critically evaluate how your team is making use of tech.

You will receive:

  • guidance on whether the tools you are using are the best to achieve your goals

  • piece of mind about whether your current set up is optimised

  • feedback about how your team is really using the tools currently available

  • a customised action plan for:

    • short term improvments (quick wins)

    • a longer term digital roadmap for strategic investment in additional tools to build efficient work practices

    • areas where more training is needed

Why me?

You want to lead a client centric, profitable practice that supports a great life for you and is rewarding for everyone that works with you. Being tech enabled can help you pull this off.

I help you make the most of the tech you have and how to spot the tech you need.

I’ve taken everything I’ve learned from driving legal tech adoption in a small law firm, in-house legal department, mid-tier and a BigLaw firm. I was a litigation lawyer for over 20 years and I know how hard it is to squeeze this around the sides of running a busy practice. I teach Fundamental Legal Technologies at the College of law, I’m a geeky guru for the Centre for Legal Innovation and I regularly present to the profession.

My approach focuses on replacing outdated manual processes with efficient, tech-driven solutions, tailored to your specific environment and budget constraints.

How Can a Law Firm Tech Review Benefit You?

Facing the unique challenges of a small law firm head-on, a legaltech review addresses:

  1. Time Constraints: Streamline manual processes to free up valuable time.

  2. Budget Limitations: Stop paying for redundant tech and spot cost-effective tech solutions that deliver high ROI.

  3. Efficiency Gaps: Enhance productivity through better utilisation of your existing software.

  4. Client Expectations: Meet and exceed client demands with innovative service delivery ideas.

  5. Competitive Edge: Stay ahead of the curve by strategically chosing the right legal technologies.

  6. Team Adoption: Encourageyour team to embrace new tools through targeted training.

  7. Future-Proofing: Prepare your practice for upcoming industry shifts with a strategic tech roadmap.

Book a time to discuss how a law firm tech review can set your law firm on the path to efficiency and growth.

This just worked a dream. Fiona came and spent a day in the firm, sitting with different people. I wasn’t part of that at all, which was perfect. I found this process so helpful, not because I’ve now got a list of 20 new things that I need to go and do. But more that it’s given me confidence that some of what we were doing was the right path and that I don’t necessarily need to get a whole lot of new things but we probably need to invest more in the things that we have.

She was able to identify where our time is really getting chewed up in processes or systems that perhaps are archaic remnants of the paper days.

There are so many shiny distracting balls in the technology space and I’m guilty of “oh that looks interesting I’ll sign up for a year and see what happens” and then not using it which is a disaster. Fiona was super helpful for me in narrowing that down. Now I feel like I’ve got a clear path, and that was something that I’d really been sitting on the fence with, for probably a year, just not sure what was the right step forward. I found this so helpful

We were looking for some practical assistance with understanding the status of our current tech suite and where to invest in the future. Fiona delivered a clear and comprehensive review in a short space of time and, working with her, we were able to identify a roadmap for moving forward. Fiona’s work is structured, comprehensive and calmly delivered.

We were experiencing a number of problems within our tech - consistency between users, understanding of the capabilities of programs, and figuring out better processes. The session was helpful so as to provide us with a set time to consider these things, holding a space for us to have open discussions about what works and what doesn’t work. It was so helpful and I think it was appropriately tailored to what we like and our needs as a firm.

We needed help with getting ideas of what technology / programs were available to help our firm improve productivity and efficiency. Fiona gave us many great tips using functionalities we already had as well as other third party programs which we could choose to use if we felt it appropriate.
